Touch

Vanja Vulin Ivošević

"If we were to enter into the meaning of the touch, many associations would appear, and each would involve individual feelings, thoughts, experiences or assumptions. From this moment Vanya's need for a notional shaping of the current stage of artistic personality is born. Awakened through a cycle of images and drawings called Moving Spaces, continuing through the call for dancing together in the of images Dance With Me, connects in touch. In the process of searching, it practically imposes the need for a person to stop and reflect, to observe the present so that it can move on. With the exhibition Touch, the artist subtly combines the connotations of the liberation process but also the knowledge of belonging. From the precision of the architect, Vanja has entered the subtlety of the artist and can now continue. The specificity of her artistic expression can be found precisely in the combination of those two worlds and sensibility.

... It's a long road from beginning to the end, from idea to a realization of it. Painting is the process of crossing that path and it's up to the individual to choose a way in which he or she is going to shape it. When thoughts and emotions move, it's hard to know and say where they're going to take us, and simplicity is in its entirety. Visible reduction of the spatial determination and form, invisible width of the shower and acrylic strokes, the immediacy of encounter with paper, the light effects of color some coloring, reduced relationships within geometrically divided new images draw into the world behind, the conceptual background of artistic sensibility of the emerging process ... – excerpt from the text about Moving Spaces

... By analyzing the elements of art and the ways in which Vanya solves the space of theimage, thereby communicating with the observer, the notion of transcendental aesthetics is imposed. In the cycle of images created under the name Dance With Me, she continues the unobtrusive pace of entering the space of paper or canvas, with barely a hint of the boundary between material and debt. By these characteristics it combines the senses of sight and hearing, the symphony of colors within the image we see and the musical symphony we hear. In these close relationships, we can recognize the primary elation of the game with the boundary feelings that lead to the field of disappearance of boundaries, a field of pure pleasure. By exhibiting paintings in the public gallery space, she shares the feeling with everyone and invites the observer to join her in the field of chamber atmosphere ...– excerpt from the text Dance With Me.

What touches Vanja, and with what she aspires to touch the observer, we can also conclude by looking at the names of the images that make up the setting. Challenge, Beauty, A Year in the Life, Temptation, New Dawn, Entrance, Anniversary, Let's Play, Desire iand Jump came from life, from something personal. Going through different forms of emotion and thoughts, they opened up fields of tactless communication reduced and pure one that was turned into art. Only in this contact can one find a sense of the existence of art and the need for it. Although in contemporary theoretical practices the notion of aesthetic is problematizing the value, deals with discourse, criticizes in questioning value, it remains in the field of enjoyment as an aesthetic category and calls for touch in the field of safe feelings of artistic sensibility and field beauty. It's up to the observer to experience its relationship to the note of touch, and that's where the new story begins."
