Living on the catwalk

02.12.2019

Grace Kelly, at Harley, rushes over Pont Alexandre III, in Dior's dress ... not really, she created and sewed the dress herself, and it's not her Grace ... but mine, with an emphasis on MY ... MM as Mima Madžarac. One of my Stars on (only) my Celebrity Boulevard.

I remembered that name after attending her first fashion show in Belgrade. We did not know each other, but the name was worn on all fashion portals, as one of IT The designer of the  Fashion Week ... and in my mind were some satin, puffy, 3D silver-gray straps.

A couple of years later I met this wild blonde girl of aristocratic manners. Thanks dear Facebook for finding me here ...

I will never forget how she congratulated me on her birthday, "Stay yours and always shine." Because it's Mima. She can give you rocket fuel straight into your veins, so you'd be embarrassed to think you couldn't do something afterwards. You can only toast with champagne, which, when drunk in her company, leads straight to the Place Vendome, at the Ritz.

Mima's world is glamorous, explosive, lit by the glow of disco balls. Clicking on the wall, as Loona Loo would say; red lipstick and attack.

What did it look like when you realized that fashion was your way?

Very creative; Grandma was left without silk, black overalls, and a veil of Venetian lace…

Who are the fashion makers to whom you have special respect?

Christian Dior, Thiery Mugler. Alexander MC Queen, Yves Saint Laurent, Raf Simons, Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad, Schiaparelli…

Paris is your second city. What famous creator would you like to share atelier with?

Maria Grazia Dior i Jean Paul Gauliter

What's your favorite model that you created?

It's a gala evening dress for the red carpet; It was worn by famous Asian actress Guli Nazha. The dress was a combination of lacquer, lace and hand-sewn crystals. Each creation tells its story and each love is in a special way. I love when I do customer specific orders, for special occasions; wedding dresses, awards, red carpet events…

A model of a wedding dress to close her Haute Couture show. How would she look like?

Surely 12 months of work, blending several types of lace, hand sewn feathers, Swarovski sparkle, woven white corals in fabric on the helmet. Dream alike.

You recently celebrated 10 years with a glamorous fashion show. How will the celebration of 20 years be different? Where will you be then?

I would love for this celebration to be held in a special place in Istria, on a private island, with my favorite associates, clients and friends.

Are you attracted to the idea of designing your own line of perfumes, laundry, home decor details?

I'm a big fan of lingerie. It's kind of a passport to me. It would be a great pleasure for me. The Agent Provocateur brand is my favorite, so why not?

Which lady would you like to see at the Cannes Festival in your vamp pink satin dress?

Without a doubt, it would be Sharon Stone.

Which song is perfect for your catwalk?

Listen to Brodinsky's Burn Me.

I know you as a dancing queen. What celebrities would you bring to nightlife, whether contemporary or historical?

The ideal company would be David Bowie or Pablo Picasso.

You are often inspired by the glamor of the eighties. What has a special vibe?

Then the affirmation of strong and successful women, who were real ladies, began in fashion. The 80s fashion flattered the female figure, while we cannot say it today. Perfect cuts, luxurious and high quality fabrics, perfect workmanship. Rock & roll as a plus.

Speaking of which decade, who would be your type of wife, Alexis or Cristal?

Alexis, no doubt.

You're the girl who was born on heels. Choosing the perfect shoe that fits your models irresistibly?

Spiked salon, elegant, with metallic heel.

You're great in the man's world. Which car is the most fashionable?

Bugatti Veyron Fb Hermes Edition

Where can we see you, in which cafe, bistro, do you feel at home, in Paris and in Belgrade?

"Little Market" Belgrade and "L 'imperial Rivoli" Paris

Who would you take to the macarons at Angelina on Rivoli, in the neighborhood?

Someone who loves Paris a lot

Dancing in the rain ili Let it snow?

Dancing in the rain, baby
